Chelmsford City

Background
Founded in 1938, Chelsford City are a semi-professional English club currently playing in the Blue Square Premier. The club play their home games at Chelmsford Sport & Atheletics Centre and possess adequate training facilities and a basic youth setup. The Chelmsford reserve team play at Spa Road. The club is affectionately known as The Clarets and retains a fierce rivalry with Billericay Town.

Having enjoyed success as recently as 2010, The Clarets are a club with a growing history. Chelmsford won the English 6th tier for the only time in 2010, won the English 7th tier for the only time in 2008, and won the English 7th tier in 1946, 1968 and 1972, finishing as runners-up once.
