I have just touched down in Chelmsford. The past 2 days, I have been doing some personal scouting for a new backroom crew. Things are not going too smoothly with quite a couple of prospectful colleagues not wanting to join up with a small club. I’m planning to bring in Aira Santiago as a Scout to build the squad, however it seems like the lack of transfer fees will prove to be a burden.

I’m still looking for more people. To speed up the process, as we are in the middle of the season, I decided to place ads for all positions.

Things will get tougher as the squad overall is not very strong. It will take good squad harmony with the right loans and tactics, we should be able to get out of the relegation zone. Tomorrow will be my first match against Mansfield, it will be on away grounds. Hopefully things will be good, and it will give me a chance of how well the team can play in a real match against a similar level opposition.

The response was great!! Ferrol, Stevenage, Stafford gave me a consideration reply yesterday. Today, I’ve received consideration from Bury and Macclesfield. The best part was… Chelmsford sacked Pennyfather and approached me!

I have agreed to take up the vacant position. Things will get busy from today onwards. I have booked an emergency flight to Chelmsford to discuss further matters. However, all communication with the club will be through the email from now.

Will have to prepare the administrative stuff now, choosing of the captain, reviewing of the squad. There will be a huge chance of having the backroom revamp. As read from a book, the leader is the cause of the decline or rise of the organization. Be prepared for news.

The new season have started for quite some time. I’ve taken a look at Liverpool and they are 8th position in the league with 6 games played, 3 won, 2 draws and 1 loss. They have 1 game in hand. This is not a too bad start for them.

However, the main thing is, after 2 months of relaxation, I cannot take it and will be planning to get back to management. I have declared interest in a number of insecure manager positions yesterday. They are:

• Chester
• Macclesfield
• Mansfield
• Stafford
• Chelmsford
• Bury
• Grays
• Stevenage
• Home United
• Ferrol

All are English clubs playing in the Blue Square Premier League, with exceptions for Home United (S-League) and Ferrol (Spanish 2nd Division B1).

I’m just awaiting reply from the management.
